Flight for Excellence, sponsored by Ely Edwards Enterprises, was established in 2012 by Al Edwards, II as a civic enrichment program honoring outstanding elementary school students and rewarding their efforts with an aerial tour of the scenic New Orleans Skyline.  To date, the "Flight For Excellence", program has taken more one hundred local students on the first flights of their lives.  The program plans to expand along the Gulf Coast.
